A simple but reliable construction of a compact device to concentrate phytoplankton under pressure while sampling, has been investigated. The advantage of this construction, unlike the existing facilities, lies in the availability of initial materials and the simplicity of its making when the device does not require any special engineering knowledge and skills. Compactness, absence of fragile glass elements, availability to use in the field conditions contribute to the value of this device.
