Centric diatom algae (Centrophyceae) of the Bukhtarma reservoir (the Irtysh River, Kazakhstan)

Abstract

Scanning electron microscopy study of centric diatoms of the plankton in the Bukhtarma reservoir (the Irtysh River, Kazakhstan) have revealed 11 taxa of Centrophyceae from 7 genera, including 5 new for the reservoir. A revision of the species composition resulted in composing the list of centric diatoms of the Bukhtarma reservoir.
