Abstract
General approaches and criteria of floristic zoning are discussed. Principles of algofloristic zoning of Ukraine (on the example of desmidian flora) are suggested. Version of the detailed zoning (up to the district) of the algofloristic subprovince Pripyatsko-Desnyanska is presented.
