Phytoplankton taxonomical structure and ecological and geographic characteristics of Tvertsa River (Russia)

Abstract

The results of study of phytoplankton of Tvertsa River, the biggest tributary of Ivankovo reservoir, are presented. The algae species diversity, taxonomical and ecological and geographic characteristics are investigated. There are 381 taxa of phytoplankton revealed. Green-diatom complex with a share of Cyanoprokaryota and Euglenophyta is a basis of algal flora. The hydrochemical characteristic of Tvertsa River are given. The cluster analysis according to the taxonomic diversity are conducted.
