In April 2015, in the northwestern part of the Black Sea (Ukraine, Odessa gulf, c. Bolshoy Fountain) the brown algae Chorda tomentosa Lyngb. 1819, a representative of the order Laminariales Mig., 1909 was founded. Fixed that species is a new alien in Black Sea and single representative within order laminarian.
