The testing of two-stage system of industrial cultivation of Dunaliella salina with semicontinuous mode was carried out. After transition from continuous to the batch cultivation and 10-fold culture dilution steady increase in both the carotenoid content in Dunaliella cells, and the car./chl. a ratio was observed. This indicates restructuring of the pigment complex which is observed before the active carotenoids accumulation in Dunaliella cells.
